The Joliet Junior College men's soccer team battled Mroton Collge on Saturday, ultimately earning a 2-1 victory.
In the 43rd minute,Â
Jonathan Mendez put the Wolves (7-2) on the board with help from
Jordi Muntada. The Wolves held a 1-0 advantage at the half.
The Wolves struck again in the 53rd minute whenÂ
Mahmood Shehada scored with an assist from
Adrian Gonzalez Martin. The Wolves gave up one goal to the opponent in the second half.
"Morton scored the goal on a sloppy play on our end, but we had a couple of late chances to definitely put the game away," Wolves coach
Cris Trillo said after the match. "Great game though against a tough opponent who never gave up."
The Wolves travel to Rock Valley College on Wednesday in Rockford, Ill.
