The Wolves got back on track Thursday as the Joliet Junior College women's basketball team cruised past Milwaukee Area Tech, 90-48.
Sophomore
Kiyah Robertson led the way as she recorded a double-double with 23 points and 14 rebounds.
"Before the game, we did a lot of ball work and skill work that really helped us today," she said of the team's performance. "We've had a hard time preparing for our games so we had to switch it up and its working well."
The Wolves (9-8) started hot, leading 30-17 after the opening quarter before holding the Stormers to just six points in the second to lead at the half, 51-23.Â
"That was a good home win," freshman
Lovely Tua-Link said. "We've been in a slump kind of but that was a good win. In the second half we just started playing as a team;Â it felt good to be out there. I was having a good time."
Tua-Link finished with 21 points and seven assists, shooting 73% on the night.Â
Freshman
Demi Page added 18 points of her own on 50% shooting, including 3-of-6 from beyond the arc and 5-of-8 at the foul line. Freshman Keira Hunt scored 15 points with four steals and four assists.
"I'm actually proud of how I played," said Hunt. "I finally feel back because it took me a month to get back and into the swing of everything. The amount of times I've been to therapy and stuff trying to get confidence back -- I finally have it."
Freshman
Jazlynn Foster scored 13 points off the bench for the Wolves.
The Wolves shot 46% on the night with a 24-of-35 mark from the free throw line.Â
