                Box Score Their historic run came to an end Saturday as Joliet Junior College women's soccer fell to Delta College, 3-1, in the NJCAA Division III Midwest District Championship.
Delta scored a pair of goals (24:03 and 35:08) in the first half to carry a 2-0 advantage over the Wolves into the break. In the 55th minute, 
Victoria Davila found success with a goal to make it 2-1 as the Wolves attempted a comeback. Unfortunately, Delta scored again in the 63rd minute and carried the 3-1 score until the final whistle.
"I am incredibly proud of our group tonight," said head coach Henry Cheung. "We went toe-to-toe with the number one team in the country, and while the result didn't go our way, our effort, discipline and fight were outstanding.
"I can't say enough about our sophomores. They gave everything to this program. The effort, leadership and love they brought every day won't be forgotten. Players like that make this team special."
On Friday, the Wolves battled Rochester Community and Technical College to a 5-0 result to reach the Midwest District finals.
The Wolves end the 2025 campaign with an overall record of 13-4-1. JJC got off to their best start ever with 11 straight wins, not losing a game until October 4 at Moraine Valley.
