A strong season came to an end Thursday as Joliet men's soccer fell to Suffolk County Community College, 1-0, in the fifth place game of the NJCAA Division III National Tournament in Herkimer, New York.
Suffolk scored early with a goal in the eighth minute. While the game was close and the Wolves had opportunities to score, JJC was unable to convert.
"It's disappointing to finish with a loss, especially when we dominated the whole game," said Wolves coach
Cris Trillo. "It just wasn't our day. But I am proud of this group for our achievements this season."
With the loss, the Wolves finish the year ranked eighth nationally with an overall record of 11-7-3.Â
