Joliet Junior College men's basketball put on a dominant performance Saturday as the Wolves cruised to a 97-78 victory over No. 13 Anoka-Ramsey in Coon Rapids, Minn.
The Wolves (6-7) racked up 52 points in the paint as five student-athletes reached double-digits in scoring, led by
Jeffrey Fleming. The sophomore guard finished with 21 points and 16 rebounds.
Freshman forwardÂ
Kareem Parker scored 17 points off the bench and added 12 rebounds for a double-double as well.
Ricky Hill finished with 17 points also.
Dominick Hale and
Victor Yatou each scored 11.
The Wolves shot 50 percent from the field and made 5-of-13 from beyond the arc. JJC held the Golden Rams to 39 points scored each half, while the Wolves held a 6-point advantage at the half. The Wolves led by as much as 31 late in the game.
"We defended and rebounded well," said Wolves coach Danny Turner.
The Wolves will return to action after the Holiday break when they travel to Morton College on Jan. 10.
