Four Wolves scored double-digits Wednesday when the Joliet Junior College women's basketball team beat Kingsborough Community College, 65-58, in the opening game of the NJCAA Division III National Tournament.

"The Magnificent Seven did it again," said Central District Coach of the Year Shaun Sanderson. "They understood the assignment and executed. To hold a team over 30 points below their average is a heck of an accomplishment."

Lovely Tua-Link powered the Wolves with 20 points while Jazlynn Foster scored 15. Kiera Hunt put away three 3's to finish with 13 points and Kiyah Robertson scored 12.

"Today, I believe we had a relaxed start but a stronger finish," Foster said. "We tried to close the four- to six-point lead and when we did, we let go for a second. We took a breath, came back in the game and executed."

With the win, the Wolves advance to the quarterfinals against top-seed Rochester Community & Technical College, who beat the Wolves in December, 85-60.

"This team continues to improve each time we take the floor," Sanderson said. "It truly is a good day to be a Wolf!"
