Box Score The Wolves bent but they never broke Thursday when Joliet Junior College baseball earned a hard-fought road win over Prairie State, 10-9.
After the host took an early lead, the Wolves (18-16) answered in the top of the second with a pair of runs. They added four in the third, one in the fourth and two in the fifth before allowing Prairie State to tie things up in the sixth inning, 9-9.Â
Jose Granados hit a single on a line drive to center field in the seventh that pushedÂ
Jonny Carrera home for the go-ahead run.
Carrera finished the game with two hits while
Dalton Strode went 3-for-4 with an RBI.
Daniel McCauley earned the win in relief whileÂ
Danny O'Malley recorded his fourth save.Â
Next up for the Wolves is a doubleheader on Saturday at Milwaukee Area Technical College with a noon first pitch.
