Baseball storms past Waubonsee, 15-1

Box Score The Wolves' offense kept rolling Wednesday as Joliet Junior College baseball earned a 15-1 victory over visiting Waubonsee.

Jonny Carrera led the Wolves (21-19) at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double and six RBI's. Jose Granados and Dillon Hinojosa each recorded a hit, with Granados recording three RBI's and Hinojosa with two. The Wolves racked up 10 hits.

On the mound, Ben Meller earned the win after two innings of work. Zachary Smolkovich and Ryan Hindahl also pitched two innings while Danny O'Malley entered for an inning of work. Wolves pitchers allowed just three hits on the day and recorded eight strikeouts.

Next up, the Wolves travel to Carl Sandburg on Friday for a noon doubleheader.
