Wolves baseball earns walk-off win over Prairie State in 10 innings

Box Score An error in the 10th inning allowed Will Cody to reach home plate and give the Wolves the walk-off victory over Prairie State on Tuesday, 7-6.

Down 6-4 entering the bottom of the ninth, a double play and a walk allowed the Wolves (12-15) to tie the game and push it into extra innings. 

Danny O'Malley earned the win after pitching an inning of relief in which he struck out three batters. 

Zack Tarrant went 2-for-5 on the day with a double while Dillon Hinojosa finished 2-for-3. Jayden Laurence recorded a double in the final inning on a fly ball to center field, which allowed pinch runner Cody to eventually steal third and then reach home for the win. 

The Wolves recorded eight hits on the day. Next up, they host Roosevelt University on Thursday at 1 p.m.
