Baseball shuts out Oakton College, 3-0

After a 5-1 loss on Tuesday at South Suburban College, the Wolves bounced back with a road victory on Wednesday as Joliet Junior College baseball shutout Oakton College, 3-0.

Up 1-0 in the seventh, Isaiah Rhodes came up big for the Wolves (27-25) with a two-run homer for his third home run of the season. Mark Flisk recorded two hits for the Wolves.

Kyle Bader pitched 6 2/3 innings to earn the win. He allowed just one hit -- Oakton's only hit of the day. Dan McCauley and Ben Meller then pitched well in relief to set up Danny O'Malley for his fifth save of season.

The Wolves stay on the road Thursday as they travel to Morton College for a 3 p.m. pitch.
