Box Score Joliet Junior College volleyball fell to College of DuPage, 3-1, in a gritty battle on Wednesday.
The Wolves battled early on, going back-and-fourth in the first set but losing it 25-23. Then in the second set, JJC struggled to find rhythm and ended up losing 25-15. The Wolves refused to back down as they rallied in the third set with an early 10-5 lead. Abby Viano made key blocks to spark the momentum, and the Wolves held on for a 25-22 win to stay alive.
The fourth set was another close one, but DuPage pulled away late in the set to win 25-22 and take the match.
With the loss, JJC moves to 3-10 on the season. The Wolves will look to bounce back Friday against Kishwaukee College.
