Box Score A 35-point opening quarter pushed the Wolves ahead and they never looked back Saturday as Joliet Junior College women's basketball beat host Morton College, 112-51.
Makenna Boyle scored 30 points to lead the Wolves, going 12-of-17 from the field with a 6-of-8 mark from beyond the arc. She finished with eight rebounds, six assists, four steals and a block.
"I think the game today was a team effort and a great team win that everyone contributed towards," said Boyle. "We all played well, were patient and found the open teammate almost every change we got."
Rylee Harris went 12-of-16 for 24 points while adding eight rebounds and four assists.
Samaiyya Williams scored 22 points and
Demi Page added 14.
Destynia McGruder recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. McGruder also finished with eight assists and a pair of steals.
"I felt like our preparation and focus showed from the start," Harris said. "It helped us execute on both ends of the floor."
The Wolves (8-7) shot 64% on the day, going 48-of-75 from the floor and 11-of-25 from the 3-point (44%). At the half, the Wolves were up 64-25 and held Morton College to just 7 points in the fourth quarter.
"This young group is growing up," said Wolves coach
Shaun Sanderson. "We still need to improve in a few areas but today we dominated all phases of the game. We spaced the floor and did fundamental things to get good, open shots. It was fun to watch."
The Wolves will host their first home game of 2026 on Tuesday when Kankakee Community College comes to the JJC Event Center for a 5 p.m. tip.
