Box Score The new year is off to a fast start for Joliet Junior College women's basketball as the Wolves take down College of DuPage, 77-71, on the road Tuesay.
Sophomore
Demi Page finished with 23 points and 12 rebounds whileÂ
Destynia McGruder also earned a double-double with 20 points, 12 rebounds and adding five blocks.
Makenna Boyle added 13 points in the win.
"This was a team win," McGruder said. "Everyone played their roles in order to help us get this win. We adjusted well against adversity."
"I think today, even though we were short-handed, we did a great job adjusting and playing together," Page said. "Collectively as a group, we shared the ball and everyone got involved."
Wolves (7-7) head coach
Shaun Sanderson echoed those sentiments, saying his team played well down the stretch.
"Our ball movement was great and we were patient with the ball," he said. "I think we took a step forward tonight but we still have to improve and be consistent."
The Wolves will get that chance Saturday when they travel to Morton College for a 1 p.m. tip.
