Joliet Junior College women's soccer scored four first half goals as the Wolves beat Kankakee Community College on Saturday, 5-1.
The Wolves (8-0-1) were powered by freshmanÂ
Lydia Wajda with two goals, whileÂ
Victoria Davila,Â
Hannah Moss andÂ
Malaya Garcia also scored.Â
"I was really proud of the way we came out in the first half," said Wolves coach Henry Cheung. "We did a good job of finding ways to finish on a wet field. That gave us an opportunity to manage minutes and rest some of our starters in the second half."
Goalkeeper
Giselle Aguirre-Almazan tallied three saves and recorded an assist. Wajda also had an assist.
"Credit to the entire group for taking care of business," said Cheung.
The Wolves host Kishwaukee College on Monday at 3 p.m. next.
