A back-and-forth game didn't go the Wolves' way Tuesday as Joliet Junior College women's basketball fell to Rock Valley College, 79-65.
Despite leading by five in the first half, the Wolves (10-12) went into the break trailing 38-36. The Wolves battled back in the fourth to retake the lead, but it got away from JJC in the final moments.
Destynia McGruder led the Wolves with 17 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists, three blocks and a pair of steals.
Demi Page scored 16 points, adding seven rebounds, four assists and a steal.
Samaiyya Williams scored 14 points off the bench for the Wolves.
Next up, the Wolves travel to Milwaukee Area Technical College on Thursday with hopes of bouncing back as the regular season nears its end.
