After having a 13-game winning streak snapped, Joliet Junior College bounced back Monday with a doubleheader sweep of Oakton College.
The Wolves (21-6) shut out Oakton in the first game, 5-0.
Karli McMillin (8-0) pitched seven innings in which she allowed one hit while recording a pair of strike outs.Â
Paige Borton went 3-for-3 at the plate while
Skylar Welcome went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple and two RBI's.
Lea Herkel was 3-for-4 with two doubles.
The Wolves took the second game in five innings, 11-3.
Averi Jury (7-1) allowed nine hits and two earned runs through all five innings. She also finished 2-for-3. McMillin finished 2-for-2 with a double and three RBI's as she scored twice.
D'arcy Ness went 2-for-4 with a double and four RBI's.
The Wolves hit the road Wednesday at they travel to College of Lake County for a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.
