Wolves softball picked up a pair of victories Sunday as Joliet Junior College finishes 3-1 overall at the Region 4 Conference Clash.
The Wolves (30-9) took the first game, 21-7, over Waubonsee Community College in six innings.
Averi Jury (10-1) pitched all six innings, allowing 11 hits and seven earned runs while striking out a pair.Â
Karli McMillin led the offense in the game, going 4-for-6 with two home runs and four RBI's.
Skylar Welcome went 4-for-5 with a home run and two doubles hit, good for four RBI's.
Lea Herkel went 3-for-6 with three RBI's and
Paige Borton finished with two hits and three RBI's.
The Wolves finished the day with a 12-4 victory over College of DuPage, winning in five innings.Â
Dani Chorak (4-1) earned the win in the circle after four innings of work, allowing seven hits, two earned runs and striking out two.
Herkel powered the Wolves in the second game, going 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI's. Welcome finished 2-for-4 with an RBI, as did
Paige Borton.
Next up, the Wolves travel to Prairie State College on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
