The Wolves picked up two wins Sunday against Elgin Community College, winning 3-2 in the first game before rolling to a 19–8 victory in Game 2.
In the opener, Joliet Junior College (18-24) leaned on strong pitching from Holden Burokas, who pitched six innings while only allowing two runs and striking out five. Offensively, Jacob Miller provided a key two-run home run. John O'Brien also added an RBI single to give the Wolves the edge.
In Game 2, the Wolves' offense erupted for 19 runs on 15 hits. O'Brien led the way with four RBI's, including a home run and double. Joliet erased an early deficit with a five-run second inning, then broke away with six runs in the fifth and seven more in the sixth. Austin Cusack delivered a three-run triple, while Jose Granados, Miller, and Charlie Martin all contributed RBI's during the surge.
The Wolves look to keep the momentum going as they face College of DuPage Tuesday.
