Despite a strong start, Joliet Junior College fell short on the road Tuesday as the Wolves fell to South Suburban College, 10-5.
The Wolves (19-29) scored two runs in the opening frame, but the Bulldogs responded with a run in the bottom of both the first and second innings. Not to be outdone, JJC scored three in the third to take a 5-2 advantage after
Jose Granados hit a three-run homer on a line drive out of left field.
Unfortunately, South Suburban rallied with four runs scored in the third, another in the fourth and three more in the fifth to ultimately take the game in seven innings.
Brenden Henderson went 3-for-3 with a double whileÂ
Jose Granados went 2-for-3 with the aforementioned home run and four RBI's.
The Wolves get no rest as they host Oakton College at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
