The Wolves put together a strong offensive effort but came up short Wednesday, falling 15–11 to Oakton College.
Oakton jumped out early, scoring two runs in the first inning and adding five more in the second to take control. Oakton continued to build their lead through the middle innings, holding an advantage heading into the sixth.
Joliet Junior College responded with a big rally in the bottom of the sixth, scoring five runs. Charlie Martin drove in a run with a single, while Jacob Miller and Brenden Henderson each delivered two-run doubles to cut into the deficit.
Despite the late push, the Wolves were unable to complete the comeback.
Offensively, Joliet totaled 11 hits, led by Henderson's 3-for-5 performance. Miller and Henderson each drove in three runs, while Isaiah Rhodes added two hits. The Wolves also had seven walks and three stolen bases.
The Wolves (19-30) will look to bounce back as they return home Thursday to face Moraine Valley.
