The Wolves continued their strong play Thursday, defeating South Suburban College, 8–2, to extend their win streak to four games.
South Suburban struck first in the opening inning, but Joliet Junior College quickly responded. Brenden Henderson delivered a two-run single in the bottom of the first to give the Wolves an early lead. After South Suburban tied the game in the second, JJC regained control for good in the fourth when Jacob Miller drove in a run to make it 4–2.
The Wolves continued to add on with a two-run home run from John O'Brien in the eighth inning to put the game away.
On the mound, Ryan Hindahl was dominant, earning the win with seven strong innings, allowing four hits and two runs (one earned) while striking out five. Danny O'Malley and Matthew Fox closed things out in relief to secure the victory.
Offensively Wolves were led by Henderson's perfect 4-for-4 performance. Jose Granados, Henderson, Miller and O'Brien each drove in two runs.
After the game, head coach Gregg Braun praised the team's performance.
"This is a really good and important win for us. South Suburban is one of the top programs in the region, so it was a big test," Braun said. "All the credit goes to Ryan Hindahl on the mound. He was dominant and gave us a great outing. We played well in all phases."
The Wolves will look to keep the momentum going as they face Milwaukee Area Technical College on Saturday.
