Joliet Junior College softball keeps rolling along, this time with a Wednesday sweep of College of DuPage.
The Wolves (26-7) took both games in five innings and outscored COD by a combined 47-12 runs.
JJC won the first game, 20-11, with
Averi Jury (9-1) earning the win in the circle after 4.2 innings of work. She allowed nine hits and eight earned runs while recording three strikeouts. Jury went 3-for-4 at the plate, driving in three runs and recording a double.
Karli McMillin was also 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI's.
Skylar Welcome finished with two hits, one a double, with four RBI's.
Samantha Rios also recorded two hits, three runs and three RBI's.
The Wolves took the second game, 27-1. McMillin (9-1) earned the win after pitching all five innings and allowing three hits and striking out three. She was 3-for-4 at the plate, doubling twice, scoring three runs and earning three RBI's.
Taylor Wells led the Wolves offense in the game, going 4-for-5, doubling twice and earning two RBI's while scoring three runs herself.
Lea Herkel was perfect at the plate with three hits, a home run and five RBI's while scoring three runs.
Aniya Adkins was 1-for-3 with a home run and five RBI's.Â
The Wolves return to action Thursday at 3 p.m. at South Suburban College. They will then travel to Ottawa, Ill. on Saturday and Sunday for the Conference Clash.
