The Wolves split Saturday's road doubleheader against Olive Harvey, winning the first game 3–1 before falling 9–8 in the second.
In Game 1,
Ryan Hindahl set the tone on the mound, going five innings with one earned run and six strikeouts. Matt Fox added a scoreless inning, and
Danny O'Malley earned the win with two shutout innings.
The Wolves broke a 1–1 tie in the eighth when
Jacob Miller delivered an RBI double, followed by
Jose Granados driving in another run to seal the win.
In Game 2, the Wolves stayed active at the plate but their comeback came up short. The Wolves opened strong as behind RBI hits from
John O'Brien, Miller and
Rodney DeSilva.
Brenden Henderson led the way, going 2-for-3 with three RBI's, while Granados also collected two hits.
Olive Harvey used a six-run third inning to take control, and despite the Wolves' late push, they fell 9–8.
JJC will close the regular season Sunday at home against Waubonsee Community College.
