For the second year in a row, the Wolves have earned a runner-up finish in the Ron Case Cup presented by Daktronics.
Since 2004, the Ron Case Cup has recognized excellence in two-year college athletics based on championship competition. The program is divided into three categories: NJCAA Scholarship, NJCAA Non-Scholarship and State Associations (CCCAA & NWAC).
Last year's second-place finish was the highest ever for the Wolves, improving upon a fourth place finish following the 2023-24 season. Joliet Junior College was able to replicate last year's success, boosted by national tournament appearances by men's soccer, men's basketball, softball, cross country and track and field.
"The 2025-26 athletic season for the Wolves was such an amazing journey for our student-athletes and coaches," said JJC Director of Athletics Gregg Braun. "This award is because of the dedication, loyalty and hard work of our student-athletes as well as our coaches for each JJC sport. Along with them, each member of our athletics department staff should be so proud to know they were a part of this honor.
"I would also like to thank Dr. Angie Kaysen-Luzbetak, our Dean of Student Success; Dr. Karl Brooks, VP of Student Development; and Dr. (Clyne G. H.) Namuo for their endless support of JJC Wolves athletic programs. This award is a symbol of all the efforts from the entire department and college and we are so grateful and proud to be honored once again as one of the best in the country"
