Men's soccer falls to Morton College, 5-3

Joliet Junior College men's soccer lost a back-and-forth contest Saturday to visiting Morton College, 5-3.

The Wolves (2-1) allowed Morton to score a pair of goals in the first nine minutes of action, but responded with three goals of their own in the following 10 minutes. The game was tied 3-3 at the half before Morton pulled away late.

"A tough loss against a good team," Wolves coach Cris Trillo said. "We conceded too many options and made costly mistakes. We need to learn from this loss."

Ismael Gomez scored once and earned an assist on another goal. Tevaris Neidecker and Derrick Rafacz also scored for the Wolves.

The Wolves will host College of DuPage on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
