Cindy Thomas joins the Wolves as the Assistant Volleyball Coach in 2021.

A retired school teacher and administrator, Thomas comes to the Wolves with 38 years of coaching experience, including three years at the helm of JJC’s volleyball team in the late 1990’s.

Thomas got her coaching start while teaching at St. Francis Academy (now Joliet Catholic Academy) in Joliet. She was the assistant varsity coach of the volleyball, softball and pom pon teams for seven years before being promoted to head coach of the varsity volleyball team.

She also coached softball and pom pons at Plainfield High school for one year before becoming the club director and coach of Unlimited Volleyball Club from 1994-2005.

In the meantime, she also served as the head coach of JJC's volleyball team from 1996-1999 before moving on to Minooka High School, where she served as an instructional leader while coaching softball and volleyball from 1999-2003. Thomas finished her career at Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park, where she served as a division chair while coaching volleyball, boys’ swimming and badminton.

Cindy and her husband, Jim, have three children and five grandchildren.
