The year 2025 marks James’s inaugural season coaching at Joliet Junior College, bringing full circle a journey that began on the very same pitch during his playing days. A former team captain at JJC, James helped lead the Wolves to a #10 national ranking in the NJCAA during his standout sophomore season.
Following his collegiate career, James advanced to the semi-professional level, competing in the UPSL Premier Division for Sueño FC in Joliet. His passion for the game then found new purpose in coaching—first with Team Chicago Soccer Club, where he currently serves as head coach for the U9, U14, U15, and U16 boys’ teams. He has also contributed to the growth of young athletes as goalkeeper coach for the Plainfield North High School women’s program.
James's dedication to the sport extends beyond the pitch through his pursuit of advanced coaching credentials. He has earned the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) ‘D’ License, along with 11v11, 9v9, and 7v7 certifications.
Off the field, James continues to invest in his academic journey, working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Studies at Governors State University.
