A goal with 5:20 left in the first half proved to be the difference, as the Wolves women's soccer team fell to NJCAA Division II 11
th ranked Waubonsee Community College 1-0 Saturday morning at home.
The first half did not see much action around either net as both defenses were on top of their respective games, but Waubonsee took advantage and scored the lone goal of the game late in the first half.
JJC went on the attack mode in the second half and played the majority of the half on the Waubonsee side of the field, but just could get the ball into the net.
"We had some great looks and came close a few times," Wolves coach
Henry Cheung said. "I thought our defense played very well and their coach [Waubonsee] told me after the game that we really outplayed them.
"We weren't able to finish some great opportunities and you have to score to win. But I like how this team is coming together and playing as a team."
The Wolves (2-7) will host Prairie State College, Saturday, October 8
th in a 10 am match.
