The Wolves women's soccer team fell to Madison College 2-0 on Wednesday afternoon at home in an N4C match-up, but despite the loss, the Wolves played their best game of the season.
After a scoreless first half, Madison netting two second half goals, but the Wolves made it difficult.

Henry Cheung said. "We were aggressive, we didn't back off and we were physical. Overall, it was the best effort all season and we were still down a few players.
"When we get healthy and we play like we did today, we will be in every game we play."
The Wolves are now 1-6 on the season and have a week to get fully healthy before traveling to Harper next Wednesday for an N4C game.
The JJC men's soccer team was behind the eight ball at the start of their game on Wednesday, when the hosted Madison in and N4C tilt. The Wolves were down seven players, most because of nagging injuries and only had two substitutions on a very hot afternoon.
That didn't deter the Wolves early as they held a 2-0 lead early in the second half, but Madison took advantage of their scoring opportunities to come away with a 4-2 victory.
Luis Gonzalez scored for the Wolves with just 2:38 left in the first half to take a 1-0 lead into the second half. Gonzalez then scored his second goal of the game just seven minutes into the second half to give JJC a 2-0 lead.
That was short lived as Madison scored just :12 seconds later and trailed 2-1.
Then Madison scored two goals in less than two minutes with 18 minutes left in the game. The game winning third goal came on a penalty kick. Madison added their fourth goal with 3:48 left in the game.
"We knew this would be tough, but we played well and really did some good things, especially in the first half," Wolves coach
Cris Trillo said. "They [Madison] wore us down a little in the second half and took advantage of some opportunities.
"
Luis Gonzalez had two great goals and put us in a good position, but when you don't have your entire team its tough, but I'm proud of our effort and this will help down the road."
The Wolves will play at home on Saturday against Olivet Nazarene at noon and now stand at 2-8 on the season.
