A shorthanded Wolves squad fell short Saturday as the Joliet Junior College women's basketball team lost, 71-56, to McHenry County College.
The Wolves (2-1) had just five student-athletes active for a game in which they fell behind early and struggled to climb back.
"[We] cut it to three late a couple of times," said Wolves coach
Shaun Sanderson. "Just young, making bad decisions down the stretch but they fought and played hard."
Demi Page took 17 trips to the foul line for the Wolves.
"Well, I thought we did good for five people but there are some things that I need to figure out and as a team if we're going to be not a good team but a great team," she said.
The Wolves will host Morton College on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
