The Wolves started their weekend trip in Minnesota on the right foot as the Joliet Junior College men's basketball team beat Rochester Community and Technical College, 87-81, on Friday.
Sophomore
Devon Richardson and freshman
Jeffrey Fleming powered the Wolves (11-4) to victory with each recording double-doubles. Richardson finished with 25 points and 11 rebounds while Fleming ended the night with 18 points and 15 rebounds.Â
The Wolves led by as much as 14 points late in the first half and entered the break up, 47-41. The Wolves shot 55.9 percent from the field, going 33-of-59 with a 5-of-11 mark from beyond the arc. They finished shooting 80 percent from the free throw line, going 16-of-20.
Sophomores
Miles Gillespie and
Romello Ali also contributed to the win, with Ali scoring 16 points and Gillespie finishing with 14.Â
Next up for the Wolves is a 4 p.m. game against Anoka-Ramsey Community College as the road trip continues Saturday.
