Women's basketball falls, 85-60, to top-ranked Rochester

A weekend trip to Minnesota didn't begin as the Wolves hoped as the Joliet Junior College women's basketball team fell to top-ranked Rochester Community and Technical College on Friday, 85-60.

The Wolves (7-5) led briefly in the opening minute before falling behind and trailing the rest of the way. For the first time in weeks, the Wolves had six players active for a game.

Sophomore Kiyah Robertson led the way for the Wolves, scoring 15 points along with four rebounds and a steal. Freshman Joyce Tua-Link scored 14 points while recording three rebounds and three assists. Jazlynn Foster scored 12 points of the bench, adding nine rebounds, three steals and an assists.

Making her season debut for the Wolves was Lovely Tua-Link, who started the game and finished with 11 points, four rebounds and an assists.

The Wolves trailed at halftime, 53-32. 

Next up for the Wolves is a game Saturday at 2 p.m. against No. 2 Anoka-Ramsey Community College.
