Men's soccer dominates the field in 3-1 win over Milwaukee Area Tech

Joliet Junior College men's soccer continued its strong form with a 3-1 win over Milwaukee Area Technical College on Saturday.

Ben Riefkman opened the scoring in the 10th minute off an assist from Jamie Gutierrez Lopez to give the Wolves early momentum. Richard Tetteh followed up with a header off a corner from Gutierrez Lopez in the 26th minute, putting JJC ahead 2-0. They then continued to dominate possession of the field and head into half time with the lead.

In the second half, Tetteh struck again in the 58th minute, finishing off a setup from Miran Feldmaier to make it 3-0. Milwaukee got on board in the 75th minute, but JJC's defense held firm to seal the 3-1 victory.

With the win, the Wolves have now gone unbeaten in their last five matches, earning three wins and two ties, and improving to 7-4-3 on the season.

Head coach Cris Trillo praised his team's consistency and grit while noting the group's resilience through injuries.

"We played well," he said. "We have played some tough opponents and some easier and a few of our guys are banged up but the point is to stay consistent and not lose games. Even in the ties, we defended really well and played our game."

JJC will look to continue their strong run when they travel to Madison College on Wednesday.
