Men's soccer battles Rock Valley to scoreless draw

The Joliet Junior College men's soccer team battled in a hard-fought but scoreless draw against Rock Valley Community College at home on Wednesday.

The Wolves created numerous scoring opportunities throughout the match but they were unable to capitalize. Defensively, JJC stood strong, preventing Rock Valley from breaking through thanks to a great effort from the back line and several key stops from goalkeeper Ivan Escatel.

Escatel made a series of impressive saves late in the second half to secure a tie for the Wolves.

With the draw, JJC moves to 6-4-3 on the season and will look to build momentum when they face Milwaukee Area Technical College on Saturday at 1 p.m.
