Despite five different players reaching double-digit scoring, the Wolves couldn't get the job done Thursday at Waubonsee as they fell, 89-80.
Destynia McGruder led the Wolves with 21 points and 14 rebounds for the double-double while
Sarai Carter also recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.Â
Samaiyya Williams scored 13 points while
Demi Page andÂ
Na'Vayuh Junior each finished with 10.
The Wolves trailed throughout the game but kept things close until the end.
"Despite the loss, this is a great test for our young players this early in the season," said Wolves coach
Shaun Sanderson. "We have to be better in certain situations and execute when things aren't going our way. Our team will learn from this and be ready next time."
With a game cancellation on Saturday, the Wolves get a week off before they host Illinois Valley on Thursday, Nov. 20.
