The Joliet Junior College men's basketball team delivered a much-needed response on Tuesday night, defeating Kennedy-King College, 98–83, in a hard-fought matchup.

The Wolves led most of the way, but Kennedy-King repeatedly clawed back, trimming the JJC lead to two points on three separate occasions. Each time, the Wolves responded with poise, and a strong fourth quarter allowed JJC to finally pull away for good.

Jeffery Fleming and Ricky Hill powered the offense, with Fleming scoring 23 points and Hill adding 22. Jyaveion Green knocked down four threes for 12 points, while Levi Goad added 15, hitting three shots from deep.

JJC also won the rebounding battle 33–22, a key factor in controlling the pace late.

Head coach Danny Turner praised his team's mindset.

"I thought we had a competitive edge. Shout out to Kennedy-King — they're a well-coached program — but the guys wanted to go out there and kill to end this losing streak."

Ricky Hill credited both his teammates and his own second-half fire.

"First, shout out to Jeff Fleming. I'm holding myself accountable — I didn't feel like I stepped up in the first half and they held it down. I was ticked off, and whatever I had to do to help my team win, as far as being a leader and a player, I was willing to do."

With the win, JJC snaps a six-game losing streak and moves to 3–6 on the season.

The Wolves will host Prairie State College on Thursday at JJC.
