Wolves softball keeps rolling, sweeps COD

The Wolves extend their winning streak to seven games as Joliet Junior College swept College of DuPage on Friday.

JJC earned a narrow victory in the first game, 4-3. Karli McMillin (5-0) allowed six hits and three earned runs while striking out four in seven innings of work.

Taylor Wells led the Wolves' offense, going 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and run scored. Skylar Welcome went 1-for-3 with a double, RBI and run scored. Paige Borton earned a hit with an RBI and run.

The Wolves took the second game in five innings, 10-2. 

Averi Jury (4-1) pitched four innings in which she allowed six hits and an earned run. In her lone appearance at the plate, Jury hit a home run the drove in three runs. 

Welcome finished the game 2-for-3 with a double, three RBI's and a pair of runs scored. Lea Herkel was also 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI. Natalie Hajer finished 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored.

The Wolves (13-4) will play Saturday at Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg, Ill., at noon.
