The Wolves continued their strong season Saturday, sweeping Carl Sandburg College with 12–5 and 20–3 victories in Galesburg.
In the first game, Joliet Junior College used a balanced offensive effort to secure the win. Lauren Pell led the way, going 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBIs, while Karli McMillin added a 4-for-5 performance with a double, triple, two runs and two RBIs. Isabella Fraser also contributed with three hits, two runs, and two RBIs.
In the circle, Dani Chorak (2-0) earned the win, pitching seven innings while allowing three earned runs.
The Wolves followed that up with a dominant Game 2 performance, defeating Carl Sandburg 20–3 in five innings.
JJC's offense exploded behind Samantha Rios, who went 3-for-4 with four runs and four RBIs, and Skylar Welcome, who finished 3-for-3 with a home run, double, two runs and four RBIs. Natalie Hajer added three hits with a double and triple, while Lea Herkel scored four runs and drove in two.
Keigan Sprovieri (4-2) earned the win, pitching five innings while allowing three earned runs.
With the sweep, the Wolves improve to 15–4 on the season and will look to stay hot as they hit the road this week, beginning Monday at Morton College.
