The Joliet Junior College softball team has extended its win streak to 11 games following Monday's doubleheader sweep at Morton College.
JJC took the first game in five innings, 10-0.
Karli McMillin (6-0) earned the win in the circle after four innings of work, allowing just two hits and striking out six batters. She also was 1-for-3 at the plate with a home run and two RBI's.
It was
Skylar Welcome that paced the Wolves' offensive, going 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI. She scored two runs.
Lea Herkel went 2-for-4 with a triple and run scored while
Lauren Pell stole five bases.
Game two saw the Wolves win, 7-1, as
Averi Jury (5-1) earned the win after three innings of work. She allowed a hit while striking out one and walking another.
This time it was Pell that led the Wolves offensively, going 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored.
Avery Scheuer was a perfect 3-for-3 with an RBI.
Taylor Wells and
D'arcy Ness each recorded a home run and two RBI's. Wells went 2-for-4 while Ness finished 3-for-4.
With the sweep, the Wolves reach 17-4 to start the season. Next up, they travel to Moraine Valley for a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.
